View Full Version here: : Avatar zoom
Because of the image size, and my eyesight, I can't make head nor tail of some users avatars. Some of them look quite intriguing! Can they be made to auto zoom with a mouse over, or is there already some way of doing this that I am unaware of?
PS, this place is fantastic!

Chris,
From memory the avatars are loaded as 80x80 pixel images. If you were to zoom in on them, they would be blurry after about 200% magnification.

Hi Chris
Yes small print and images for those focus challenged is a real pain these days. A bigger monitor allows bigger resolution lets say 1080i or P for horizontal resolution...much easier on the eyes.
As H said since the avatars are 80 x 80 pixels...enlarging them will make them look grainy
But a cheap trick is to use "ctrl and scroll wheel" on your mouse or "ctrl + or - key" to enlarge or shrink the page you are seeing.
Lastly my favourite for visually challenged...folk....use virtual magnifying glass (http://magnifier.sourceforge.net/)...like holding a magnifying glass over the area your want.
Here is the difference:
H's head normal size and H's Head with the magnifier...ain't he a hottie (remember to click image to open them in another window for comparative sizes as this windows looks like it resizes them to almost the same! but in a new window...hell he has a big head!!
Of course! Ctrl +/-
The fact that I'd forgotten that is embarassing and slightly worrying! :screwy:
Reminds me of the "I'm too stupid to own one of these" story.
I'm usually reading IIS on a smallish laptop which can't have helped. No mouse too.
As for H being a hottie, no comment!
Cheers fellers.
