:eyepop: I just came in from viewing saturn and the moon in my Istar 127mm achro , bino viewers and Bintel 40mm plossls and while saturn was good it was the moon that blew me away tonight ! just so awsomely crisp and 3D like I have never seen it like this ever :eyepop: its a one thats etched in my brain like the 1st time I saw saturn thru my old clubs C14 at 500x , very special .
Glad Lewis and others in Brisbane finally have a good night as well , like up here tonight just so perfect but its been a long time comming  .
Back out now , I just had to share this .

Nice one Brian, can't beat the Moon viewed with Bino's. I like the Moon low on the horizon, then the heat waves etc give the most memorable views for me. Probably the only time bad atmospherics are good.
You should try a pair of 28 RKE's...something special.

hi Brian,
I know the sight you describe with bino's on the Moon,
it's like it comes down and hits you in the eyeballs,
day's good, plenty sun, nights clear, enjoyable nights,
here at Tennant Creek, NT,

From memory I seem to remember that you can reach focus without the OCS, in the Istar is that correct? If you can what aberrations if any are there from the WO bino's? I'm under the impression that the OCS is needed to give the best aberration free view.
Peter the only time I have been up in the NT was in July, and half the population of Victoria was there too  you lucky man.
