Hi all
I managed my second ISS transit of the solar disc this morning.
- Deception Bay
- 8.44am (local time)
- LS60
- DMK51
- 1/182 exp
- 55 Gamma
If I feel like travelling tonight there is a Lunar transit too!
These are my first cut images as I have now set up the 80 for some close ups of departing 1726.
Thanks for looking!

Well done Matt. One of those, "don't blink or you'll miss it" situations though, I've been close but unsuccessful so far.

Gary, when I tried it the ISS crossed the sun in under a second - 7 frames at 25fps.
Have you seen http://pictures.ed-morana.com/ISSTransits/predictions/
It's giving me a solar transit for 26 Apr 07:53:24 AEST a mere 68km from here and a lunar transit better suited to the Newcastle crew for 28 Apr 22:48:05 AEST.
It seems fairly good. It put the ISS on the top half of the sun rather than across the centre so I was a bit far west - probably a couple of hundred metres. You could feed the coords of a suitable place on the predicted track into Heavens Above or CalSky for a second opinion.

Thanks all - the ISS appears larger than my previous attempt - still a dot with wings.
Here is 1726 from this afternoon.

Well done Matt, pretty amazing to stop and think about what that dot represents & what it says about the tenacity, ingenuity and inventiveness of the human race.
