Hi. Good conditions last night allowed me to have a go at the Running Chicken.
There were a few problems at the start, bad alignment and bent spider veins causing extra diffraction spikes. After reading up on an Iceinspace thread, I fixed the spider vein. I then got the alignment really good that allowed 5 mins exposures. I opted on 4 mins mostly and varied from ISO 400-800.
Unguided, unmodded 500d, neq6 pro, sw8"f5 blue tube 1000mm fl.
Total of 1 hr 16 mins exp.
Thanks for looking.
Steve.

Thanks. Yeah I thought I would make the most of it as there are clouds predicted until next week:sadeyes:
I'm still trying to understand this polar scope. I thought the first alignment wiuld have been good, I had the Octans in the Aterism of polar scope but no good. When I retried, I only got 2 of the stars in the polar scope, the bush blocked the others and this was the alignment that worked:confused2:
Not complaining, just want to be able to reproduce it constantly:lol:
Cheers.
Steve.
