Nicely done. What did you use to stack?

I used Deep Sky Stacker and a curve adjustment in DPP. I find DSS tends to make dense star fields look a bit noisy. I used six dark frames. With hindsight I should have used a few more. Struggling whether or not to spend $1000 or more on photoshop.

I took one single shot using the 7D with the internal noise reduction switched on. This is a 30s shot tracked on the polarie with Sigma F1.4 50mm lens. Processed in DPP only. Not a huge difference between this and the stack of 7 images in the first post.
