Great Shot! - again. Well done John, I really prefer the colour aspects of your unmoddified canon against the modified versions. That Takahashi has found a worthy owner.

Excellent image of M17 John. Nice to see its setting in the larger scheme of things too. Also noticed the nice, tight round stars, flat field and sharp stars right to the edge.

Cheers

Dennis

it would be nice to take the same image with a modded camera and combine the two results. Excellent!(as pronounced by Mr Burns) Fantastic effort John.

Thanks for the comments guy's.

I have added a re-proccessed version, I think I teased out a bit more detail. Want to try again with the 1.6x extender for better image scale.

Even though my Observatory is some 15Kms inland from the coast, we had a huge storm going on about 20NM out to sea, I was concerned that lightning flashes would effect the shot but all appears OK.

Thanks again

Very nice. It's a nice wide field view which is different to most I see around.

John,
I agree the reprocessed one shows even more detail.
looks very nice. I like the pinkish coloring too, I compared it with the stock image that come with my Celestron software The Sky" which is very red and I find yours softer and nicer.
well done!
I'll bet an "S" shape was used in the levels :]
