Well it's been 6 days since I saw any clear skies (feels like 6 months!) & today we received 30 odd mins of clear sky (woo-HOO! :rolleyes: ) & so I pounced upon the opportunity.

Registax now says "Can't touch this" as far as false colour is concerned :rolleyes::screwy::confused2: So now doing it in Paint.net.

PST/DMK21/10 panes.

John you may already do this, the last time I did a mosaic, I think it was 9 panels or close to that, I tried taking one shot dead centre and I think it made a big difference in Photoshop anyway. It completely changed the way the program selected portions of each frame for the finale image.
Of course it has been raining ever since. I will have another go at some stage but really want to put together some good Prom animations. I hope this is the last of the crook weather for a while.

Thanks Ralph. Yes I certainly have tried the dead center pane, but in my experience it didn't seem to do a lot. A bit hard to explain what I'm doing now, but if anyone wants to know, I can upload small versions of each pane as to placements etc.

Thanks Andrew, but this is an inherent PST problem: 'across the FOV illumination' problem & nothing to do with the mosaicing program as such. It will become a problem without sufficient overlap though.

This is my first result where I've seen very little of this uneven illumination problem I describe, so I'm chuffed.
