To be honest if you would have seen the raw data for this you never would have believed it would have turn out like this did. This is a mosaic of 17 panels made from the DMK41 through the lunt DS60. I was crook when i imaged this - i thought it would make up for not going to IISAC and give me a bit of data to play with. I also got data for the 12 April, yet to process those shots but i wasnt on par to this days capture.

used Autostakkert2, photoshop mosaic bit ,then registax6 then back into photoshop.

tried my colour again but i have to say i still have to experiment to find a golden touch:help:;)

edit a repro:question:

actually looking at it in the cold hard light of day it is far from a poster shot, more of a dunny door shot. vastly need to improve

Nice work David. Just wondering if the scope might be slightly out of tune. Still a nice result:thumbsup:

yep someone else has said that and i do tend to agree looking back at it

Well I reckon it's good to get to know the scope. I've mucked around with the PST tuning no end, but now I know there's only one good tuning point on it, & that's where it is now lol.

yeah its easy to make mistakes - especially while learning to drive

That looks fantastic.

What filter do you use to show the detail of the sun like that?

mine changes with the time of day and the aspect of the scope? depending the afternoon is better than the morning and if its a fickle day the other way around:question:

Oh sorry mate you mentioned it before.

Sorry I don't know a lot about solar imaging, still learning!
