Aurora Australis from Mount Buffalo National Park Australia, 17th of March, 2013
Apart from a few little timelapse sequences which I will probably release as part of a much larger timelapse project later in the year, this will be my last upload from this spectacular aurora display about three weeks ago. Bring on the next one.

Stunning, Greg.

I notice that the sky is a little softer in this image. Is that noise reduction?

Doesn't detract from the spectacle for me; just curious. :)

Thank you very much gents :D

Ross: It is a two image panorama.

H: I wanted to highlight the aurora so I reduced the stars a bit so that only the brighter ones stood out. This is probably the main reason for the apparent softness.
