Hi guys!
it's been a while since my last post in this forum.
Luckily I have something to present today.
Torsten Grossmann, my friend from Berlin and me, we collected some keen data on the whale galaxy.
Torsten utilized his 7" Apo and I my 9"er.
The data I collected, however, is "old"...dationg back to 2007; a night with gorgeous seeing. I used my OSC (M25C) those days back.
Torsten used an SBIG based upon a KF2044 sensor.
Luminance data: 15x20 Min
R,B data: 2x2 binning 9x7 min
G data: 2x2 binning 9x6 min
OSC data: 3,5 hours (10 min subs)
Unfortunaltey we had to crop the image dramatically, because we had troubles finding a decent guide-star (Sbig)...so ngc4631 was pretty much off center...well, you cannot win them all (-:
The image can be found on my website

as well as here: here we go!
