Can anyone tell me the differences between these two mounts?

For instance would this be compatible with an EQ2?

;) It might work with a bit of fiddling around , but I personally would get an EQ2 dedicated drive , these have a clutch kind of spring loaded arrangement that allows you to disengage the drive so it can be moved manually whereas the EQ1 drive is solidly mounted .
And if the slip clutches are too tight on the mount you can damage the drives gear box . and that would suck in the dark .
I have a 1971 vintage EQ2 mount under my 1st scope , a 60mm f900 refractor made in Japan by CircleT and its a great little mount for this OTA .
