SPX350 F36.1, PGR Flea3, Baader RGB Astronomik 742nm.
Seeing looked promising at 45 degrees alt (fair) and as Saturn rose it got very good 8/10 for red but cloud came during blue and IR. I used 5min captures for each channel with WinJupos and with the final red the detail leapt out with storms showing. Hexagon pole is also showing well. It is amazing how good seeing brings up colourful banding.
Seeing looked promising over past couple of weeks here in Cleveland, Asi had avg seeing 300km north but here it was very pleasing just before the cloud came. Don't know if derotating avi would give better detail - will have to look into it.
R RGB 1354hrs
Red channel 1344hrs
IR channel 1324hrs
RGB GIF 3 sets 30mins apart

Hi John. Fantastic detail on the disc, with the storms and the hexagon coming out very clearly! I was out last night as well having a go. The cloud came over for me a little later than for you.
Cheers,
Tom

Very striking detail especially on your IR shot John. I'm hoping to try this combo with my new QHY5L-ll mono.
Super images!

Had a go at the WJupos Map projection to show the pole better.

Nice ones John! Your right about my average seeing in this period. Looking forward to more. Our seeing is about to head south again for the year though:rolleyes:

Thanks for comments, I thought seeing would be bad as stars twinkled quite a bit at 8pm but glad I stuck with it as by 11pm Alpha Cent twinkled only very slightly. Also a slight breeze came with some high cloud but Saturn behaved and stayed centred. At least I have some good data to experiment with the new software like WJupos and AS2 which is still new to me.

Great spot detail John and the hex is nicely defined. Hints of the Enke visible too.
