Hello guys n gals,
Since I have no focuser at the moment I was going through my collection of images. I had some good B&W images and also some colour images of the same object so decided to give my first go at a LRGB technique.
The first three images is of NGC3576. I've attached the B&W (Taken with the RC8), Colour (8" f/4 newt with no corrector) and the combined (Ha)RGB image. Details of exposure can be found here. (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=104452) It was a challenge aligning the coma-filled colour image in Photoshop, I haven't learned how to align photos yet (especially at different focal lengths). But overall very pleased :D
The last three images is of NGC 253. I've attached the B&W (Taken with the RC8), Colour (Used another image which I did not take and blurred it sufficiently) and the combined LRGB image. As you can tell it had no calibration frames applied to it! Dust doughnuts galore. Details of exposure can be found here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=103466). Cant wait for this one to come back out so I can have a crack at it with my own colour data!
Any critical or non-critical feedback welcome
