Hi All,
I saw an APOD from back in 2007 of the Carina Nebula that really packed a punch, there were no details on how it was made there seemed to be allot of Ha data there. While I can't get close to what was created; my processing skills are not quite there yet *lol. I have tried a Ha(R)R(Ha)GB combination using various methods, mostly trial and error. This is my second Ha / RGB combination image and I'm pretty happy with it.
Scope: FSQ106ED
CCD: STT-8300M
Ha(R)R(Ha)GB 130:70:35:35 bin 1x1

Cheers Mike, yeah the colour punch is intended. Nothing scientific just a pretty picture ;-)
I've seen your work on here and love the colours you can push with your images!

Cheers everyone :)
Chris, thanks for the Ha file.
Initially, I didn't know how to blend Ha and compositeRGB, but then I found a script for PixInsight that someone wrote for combining Ha with RGBs.
Below is the first try of that script ...

That is pretty damn cool! This is combined with your DSLR data?
I got relatively lucky with the seeing while capturing the Ha data, 2am and the air was fairly stable.
