I took this last night. I used the fabulous Fuji 14mm F2.8 lens. Wow, this lens matches my much more expensive Nikon 14-24mm F2.8 and its small and light. Plus it has a manual focus lock which is handy and infinity focus is correct for the first time ever it seems! So focus = turn it all the way to infinity and you are good to go.

This lens could be used on other APS sensor cameras with a camera to Fuji xmount adapter (lots of them on ebay).

8 image mosaic, Fuji XE1, 30 seconds, ISO 3200, long exposure noise reduction on. No tracking.

Thanks Larry.
The moon is a bit too large for the ideal shot at the moment but its a start.

That's a great shot Greg, I like it. It basically shows what a Sunrise would look like if our atmosphere was much thinner.

Wow Greg, that's a great image!

It's almost a mid morning shot, with the Milky Way still up! I can even make out Centaurus A's location!!!!

I am going to have to give some widefields a go now....I had better start practicing.

Thanks for posting.

Cheers

Chris

Thanks Mike. I was running 2 cameras at once when I did this shot.
There was a time aspect to it as I didn't want the moon to be too high.

Thanks Chris. I like this new lens, its quite a stunner.

That's a beauty Greg, lots of Milky Way despite the bright moon and heaps of stars! Also cheers for the lens review, I'm in the market for a 14mm.

Thanks Carlos.

The Fuji 14mm is a beauty. APS sized sensors only. There seems to be plenty of adapters on Ebay.

Thanks very much Leon.

Thanks Stephen.
I took a similar one just before dawn a few weeks ago with even more data. I'll be processing that now.

+1. Very cool shots. Feels like daylight. You've launched another trend. Is it dawnscape or duskscape?
