I've been able to pretend for some time now my somewhat abstract narrowband attempts were due to lack of quality SII and OIII data. Unfortunately after hours of playing with some decent M8 data from last year I'm more inclined to face the reality that I'm lost in the foothills below NB Everest. :eyepop:

At least the thrill of the chase is before me. How hard could it be I've been told.....? This is a hodge podge of PI scripts and PS blends attempting to follow various tutorials. I guess NB data by its nature is so variable it will be hard following any particular recipe.

This data was taken with a Zenithstar 80II, with QHY9, and MPCC as flattener.
Ha 26x20mins, OIII 7x20mins, SII 11x20mins (520:140:220 mins all unbinned)

I was chasing a couple of other objects at the time, so these subs were a bonus at the end of automated runs, and thus the somewhat haphazard final channel totals. Thanks for looking.

That's excellent! :D
Very inspiring, I just got my new mono camera plus NB filters, can't wait till the clouds clear!

I like it Rob. Nice to see some NB that isn't all green. It also has some nice depth to it (no pun intended).

Appreciate the encouragement guys. I was really hoping to steer this one more towards copper bronze and blue colours that I love to see done well for NB. Learned something and had fun too so, Uncle Arthur should be happy. :D

I've tweaked it a bit more to bring out more contrast in the dark clouds - new version in higher res and zoomable available here (https://picasaweb.google.com/UserRobF/RecentWork#5861691661411712034) (click on the magnifying glass at the top)

That's a fine rendition Rob, looks good on my monitor. I know NB processing is difficult so well done on the final image

Thanks Geoff. Appreciate that.
Hopefully skies will allow more NB practice this year.

Rob, try selective colour yellow, drop the cyan a lot and raise the magenta to bring up the browns.

Thanks Robin - that is closer to what I was aiming for, but I'll have to go a lot further back to make maximum value of it by looks of it.

Lovely image and excellent repros by the way. NB can be a real trial to get something worthwhile but I like your final effort very much.

I'm no NB expert, but it looks good to me Rob - well done!

Thanks for looking and commenting guys.
Marc, I've still got those PS workflows you sent me, but none of this is anywhere near 2nd nature. Plenty to learn!
