Hi Anthony, I had a brain snap in an earlier post. Lithgow had me confused with over dark sky pursuits .
To cut a long story short ,my route brings me back to Sydney , so Hornsby would be as good a rail line as any. From there to Central & on to Canberra. Same seat in the same vehicle is on offer ! Somewhere after 2pm might allow you to check railway time tables, from Hornsby i.e.
Chalk board under the marquee will narrow the field to communicate. Paddy.

Anthony, My original offer of transport to Hornsby still stands. After a sleep deprived weekend for me to get you to Central from where I live would add another 3hours to my trip. For me not a good option.
Hornsby by rail to central would be less than an hour. Bus or train from there to Canberra shouldn't be a problem.
Also, make the effort to get to the star party . Any "inconvenience " will be over shadowed by the opportunity to enjoy the occasion.See you there ? Paddy
