It was sort-of clear last night, and despite the moon and some annoying gradients I finally managed to get, while not exactly great, at least some new data :)

The link is here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery229.html)

Nice detail Peter, and you've captured the extended halo as well!

Thanks Laurie

Ta... there is more halo there, but a pesky gradient made pushing the data difficult.

Thanks:)

Thanks for the feedback... This is the full KAF8300 field, which frames it nicely, but I suspect a bit more FL will help.

You've captured the faint stuff really well, Peter, despite the pesky gradient.

Nice one Peter. NGC 5128 never gets old. Only minor comment I have is that it looks a bit magenta, possibly due to your gradient.

Cheers

So sharp even at that FL. Beautiful.

Merci !

Thanks Steve... yes, I agree about the magenta. I've subsequently tweaked it a bit

Superb Peter, thanks for sharing. Still running ME? Planning on ME2?

Peter Ward

Thanks :)

Yep, still running a PME.... I rather think of them as being like a Bugatti Veyron: an engineering exercise that cost more to implement, than the sticker-price the sales people would allow. ( even the PME cable covers are machined down to preserve rigidity yet reduce unnecessary mass )

The ME2 is albeit, a much heavier, but very fine mount.

I don't need the extra payload capacity just yet ;)

Peter,

That's a good image in its own right, but a superb effort considering the light pollution you are dealing with.

Why, thank you Clive....

Light pollution in Sydney? (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/galleyOS11.html) Nah...

Hy peter.
Very good work, this image is excellent, there are many details, nevertheless I just blame for the lack of colors!

See you soon.;)

Glad you like it

Ta. I think the image would benefit from more data (maybe the next new moon  )but I'm not a fan of Las-Vegas-neon processing, hence am happy with a more muted result.

Very nice and crisp shot of an old favourite, thanks for the view Peter :)
I've been gathering data of this one myself lately, it's such a beautiful and interesting galaxy. Looking forward to processing it soon, but I need a few more hours still.

To quote Elvis; Thank you, thank you very much.

Thanks... but it really does need more data..

 Yep, it is WF Wussy effort..and deserves some serious FL (like my earlier RCOS effort (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery5.html)) .... but it's such a cool 'scope...and I'm getting lazy in my old age :)

Ta. Yep, I'd like to get 3-4 hours more to really nail it.
