Hi all
Did 90 mins on the Helix thismorning (9x10 mins IS0 400) with Berts 300mm F2.8 lens, again with UHCS and UV/IR filter in place.
masking used to stop bright stuff from burning out.
Ive got the Northeast Arc ,lower left, but also a hint of the West Outer feature, a faint reddish glow upper right of the Helix itself.

I will have to use the Hydrogen Alpha filter to go any deeper. :D

PS it was darn freezing sitting at the scope guiding too! Dark frames were hardly necessary hehehehe.

Very nice, but some horrible jpeg compression artifacts. Do you have a link to an uncompressed version?

That is awesome ! is the secondary red ring, the further part of the same nebula ? IE: the nebula has an hourglass shape ?
