Mirror making for beginners?

Hello all,

Just wondering if anybody does mirror making workshops for beginners? Looking to find out if it's done here in Perth but if anybody else would like to put down some info about what's happening in your state for other people that's cool too. :thumbsup:

Many years ago there was a small group of MAS(Murdoch Astronomical Society) members and, I think, some ASWA members that met weekly for an ATM(Amateur Telescope Making) workshop at the MAS observatory site at Murdoch University.

I believe MAS is now associated with ASWA so perhaps contact ASWA (http://aswa.info/contact.html) to find out about any ATM workshops?

Sorry, forgot to mention that at the time they were grinding 10" primary mirrors.
Whether that was a one-off occurrence or if it happens periodically is unknown to me so yes, worth sending them an email.
