FF for ED80

Hi all,

Now I know it's been done to death, but I was wondering if I could get an opionion on a sutiable field flattener for my f-6 ED80 and Canon 600D. I've had quite enough of cropping the outer 50% of my images!

I'm leaning towards the Hutech, but only because it's on special. I also plan on upgrading my scope in the future, so being able to transfer to the new one will be a bonus.

Anyhoo let me know what you all think or any other options I should consider! :)

I use the Hutech on my ED80 (f6) and it works great.

I have a no-name branded version of the Orion FF sourced from the UK for approx $100. This FF is available under about 4 or 5 different brands.
It works but the corners of an 18mpix APS-c sized sensor still show some coma on an SV70ED f6 scope. It may not be as apparent on a lower resolution sensor, yet to try it with the 10mpix 40D.
This might be corrected with some tweaking of the spacing, not sure tho as I haven't tried.

Will see what I can do regarding an image.

I failed to mention that the approx. aussie $100 price(may have been $110 or something, can't remember) was including postage.

HOTECH ROCKS! Fantastic bit of kit. I think Agena sells them cheaper - well, they did when I got mine anyway.

Sky-Watcher do a FF for the ED80. Exact same optics as Orion. (Same factory, different stickers.)
