Hi all
It has been awhile since I have been out - bad weather in Brisbane and too many distractions.
Here is a summary disc from this afternoon - lots of AR, Filaments and Prominences - an enjoyable but short session!
Lunt Ha 60mm with DMK51 - Registax.

Lovely work Matt. I think a Lunt is in the pipeline for me soon.

A nice full disc shot Matt, with lovely details and tones – I bet you are enjoying the chip size of that DMK51 eh?
Cheers

I setup my 8" Dob with the ND5 Baader film today before cricket to show my partner the sun through it for the first time.
She was a little underwhelmed that it was just a bright, grey disc with spots on it, and no flares or flames or swirly bits. I explained that those sorts of details are the domain of the more expensive and more experienced solar observer, such at the fantastic image in the OP.
Which is all just a long winded way of saying that this is a timely and terrific image you've got there Matt! Thanks for sharing.

It certainly has been a while Matt but what a nice result, the DMK51 is smokin, some excellent detail in there.
Cheers

Thanks all.
The DMK51 is a great imager for these low res discs and the LS60 is just perfect in my mind!
Here is another version from yesterday.

Good going Matt. You are right about the DMK 51, it is a great all round unit. I can go from full disc (just ) through to 3xBar.
