Taken on a recent trip to shoot the comets at Lake Ballard. I left my run a bit late on the comet front, but found the lake full of water, so couldn't resist some star reflection shots.

The view is even better in the flesh. What the still or timelapse camera can't capture is the twinkle of the stars in the water. For one of the comet shots I had to wade out more than a km to get far enough back from the hills. Before the wind picked up I was surrounded by stars both above and below. Probably as close as I'll ever get to floating is space far from the Earth :)

Thanks for looking.

So cool. Really nice pic.

Wow! That would have been quite a sight. Very immersive.

Damn that's good - right to the horizon.

Love how you waxed lyrical too.

Vignesh, at some point I'll be releasing some of my images at higher res. Hopefully sooner than later ;)

Well that’s what I call dedication, having to wade out into the water for a kilometer.

Well done on another great image:thumbsup:

I anticipate that will be in a time lapse in the Malins this year. I look forward to that. :)
