Pre-Dawn at Echo Point, Katoomba

I had to head up to the Blue Mountains for work earlier this week, so I took the opportunity to get there a little earlier with my camera and take some nightscapes and sunrise shots at Echo Point, Katoomba - the lookout overlooking "The 3 Sisters".

Unfortunately a low-hanging fog prevented many nightscapes, but it started to clear about 50 minutes before dawn so I was able to catch some of the Milky Way setting before the sky washed out with the fast-approaching sunrise.

And while I put myself in these shots (I have some without, too), I didn't point or wave my arms about ;)

The 'lovely' yellow lights blazing over the lookout area were a real pain :(

Very nice. I wondered what it looked like without being shrouded in mist - I have touched said sisters, but never seen them!
