Jupiter With C8 1st June

Well, there were no clouds but that's all that can be said. Another fun-filled giant joop undulations & fuzzing in & out evening. 3/10 at best. :(

These 2 with C8/2Xbarlow/extension tube/toucam.

20FPS 1/25th sec exposure/brightness 55%/Gain 65%/Gamma 5%.

Tried several @ 5/10/15FPS but were total rubbish = deleted.

Theres a moon top left of pics too..see it?...No??....yeah its pretty small, get a magnifying glass out :lol:

Yes I can see the moon. Wow! I reckon you will resurrect the C8 sales, thats pritty good detail right across the planet considering the conditions.

hey, i have a question for you guys... you get a c8 and whack say a 2x barlow in it and the f/ ratio doubles right? whe you put an extention tube in there how do you measure the f/ ratio?

Thats a good question Ving. Davo posted a graph from the televue site awhile back showing the differences between F ratio's & extension tubes etc.

Lester & I have noted the difference in the visual size of Jupiter in an F10 SCT with 2X barlow & dropping in an extension tube 75mm long. We reckon it to be 30% larger on the lappy screen with the extension tube added.

i go from 5x to 7.7x at 100mm with the extension tube and 5x powermate

how do you measure it to be 7.7x with the extention tube tho dave?
