Hello,

When trimming a tree in the back garden we found this interesting looking moth dozing on a leaf. The insect seemed quite content to have its photo taken so I unleashed the power of the Canon MPE-65 at around x2.5 to x3 and managed to grab a stack of 20 frames so that the insect was in focus throughout the frame.

The frames were stacked with Helicon Focus which assembles all the “in-focus” slices together to generate the final image.

Cheers

Dennis

That's an unusual specimen! Haven't seen one like that in my garden. Nicely captured!

Beautiful shots Dennis.

If it was white/grey it'd be a perfect specimen of a Julius Sumner Miller moth.
