Well I think it's my best so far anyway :P
The seeing was really nice but it had a flutter going on with a moderate low alt. breeze happening. Extremely happy with this though:thumbsup:
11 pane mosaic with the DMK21. 20 sec. captures @ 30FPS 120 stacked for each pane. 1.5X Autostakkert drizzle + 20% reduction for the web.
great effort!
yet another image that only encourages me to get a solar scope
damn you!

Thanks Matt. Yeah darn this weather pattern right now. We'll all look forward to when it stabilises out a bit. It's SUPPOSED to be the best time of year, specially for planet imagers, but not this year it seems!
Thank the lucky stars for low mag Sol imaging when the seeing is total rubbish;):D

how do you manage to get such an accurate overlapping mosaic?

Super result Asi, I well remember my first look through a PST at a SPSP and how impressive it was for such a small instrument, of course adding the Asi factor to that obviously helped with this result.

Hi Mark. Well for starters I use Imerge which produces wonderful mosaics but the one flaw it has is you must make sure there is plenty of overlap with each pane in relation to it's neighbour(s) (see image). If I try to use a 4 pane mosaic at this scale (quite ethical/reasonable to do with some other mosaic programs) I get wide gradient 'lines' in the overlaps.
Thanks Trevor. I'm a die hard planet imager but I must say I'm really enjoying my time with the Sun. Quite happy with my early results & I'm thinking hard on how I can possibly get better with the PST, as seeing hardly effects things.

can you add a cal K filter to a HA scope or do you need to buy a Cal K scope?

I know pretty well nothing about this particular subject, Mark sorry.

No Mark you cant convert the PST. They make a K-Cal PST, but it is not much more to get a K-Cal module for a 60mm or 80mm scope.

That image is excellent by any account.
Bring Your computer up when you come John and have crack at the 90mm SolarMax. I have a DMK21. Just bought a 618 as well, here on Monday I hope, although the weather is still cloudy from cyclone Tim.

Thanks Ralph. Haven't booked a ticket yet but getting closer to a confirmation at least. 21st - 25th April at this stage.
The 618 would be interesting to use, it'll mean lower gain/noise values yet again over the old 21. Mind you I'm very happy with the old 21 results.
I'll certainly bring the laptop & my camera, as there might be problems regarding IC Capture & plugging in another 'foreign' camera..
