Here's the last of my nightscapes from that morning at Forresters Beach. I think I've saved the best for last.

At least, these are my favourites anyway :)

Same settings as always :)

- Large 1 (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/download/383) : Galaxy over the Beach
- Large 2 (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/download/386) : Milky Way Peeking through the clouds
- Large 3 (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/download/388) : Milky Way before Dawn

The last one was one of the final shots before the sky was too washed out. There's something about seeing the Milky Way on an almost blue sky.

As Paul commented in the other thread, vertical compositions don't always work for nightscapes but sometimes they fit the scene.

I am loving the 6D!

Wow, it is fantastic shots Mike . So nice yours images and I like so much the first one. Could you tell me what is the exposure time for the first image and which lens ?

Thanks Adam, appreciate your comments.

Thanks Rick! I love how the Milky Way still puts on a show in the gap.

Thanks Carlos, it's certainly a more unique look. Doesn't always work but with the right foreground it can.

Thanks Shane! That means a lot!

Thanks Rolf, it's my favourite too. It's my favourite nightscape that I've done lately.

Thanks so much, Franck.
I use the Samyang 14mm lens @ f2.8, 30 second exposure @ ISO6400.

Thanks again.
