Hi All,

Imaged Saturn this morning in fair seeing, This is the 6th consecutive night of mostly good seeing and is the longest run I have had since 2008. Looking at the computer models it seems that it may be a week or more before I get another chance to image.

This data, although in fair seeing, is not of the quality of the previous 5 mornings. That said, there is quite a large cloud feature in the EZ that is resolved in R, RGB & 742nm IR, it is just toward the F side of the CM. There is also a bright spot at the CM in the NEB in my IR data from 16:43 UTC.

Have put together an animation to hi-light the EZ feature using 1 R, RGB & IR image sequence.

Thanks for looking

Regards
Trevor

Nice job Trevor, again. Took me awhile to spot this cloud feature but I see it now. Thanks for the views.

Very nice Trevor, sky is clear but the dam wind just wont let up down this way.

Thanks Graeme, hope it settles down for you, many times up here having the protection of the dome has been the difference between being able to capture data or not.

Thanks Derek, one of the research teams that I send my data to has a thermal observing run planned for late April with the IRTF in Hawaii and they are also hoping to image this feature, if it still survives then.

Thanks Asi, certainly a rather subtle feature but extremely large when taking into account Saturn's 120,000 klm diameter.

Thanks Ray, looks pretty grim for the foreseeable future, although tomorrow morning might be worth a try.

Thanks Laurie.
