Hi everyone,

Did a trip to the ASV's Leon Mow dark sky site on Sunday night to try my new Loadstar guide camera and shot NGC5128 and Omega Centauri with my 12.5" f/5 and Canon 400D (yep! still using one of these!).

NGC 5128 - 35 x 120 secs - 1h 10mins total with equivelant darks @ ISO 800

Omega Centauri - 29 x 60 seconds - 29 mins total with equivelant darks @ ISO 800

Still lots of work to do on getting longer exposures per shot with the new Loadstar and evolve my processing with Lights and Flats.

Comments and suggestions welcome (go easy on me as I'm a planetary guy!)

Clear skies,

John K.

Hi John,
Quite good & if you'd use a star mask you might have grabbed some
colour out of those stars- see here:

Also the black looks clipped but you may have needed longer exposures
to grab the background.

Good job.

cheers
