Rain and snow beating down here so been digging into the archives. March 2012 was a wonderful month for clear skys in the UK allowing me to capture many shots of Mars. I've created a globe animation in Winjupos with the mapped images. Not quite sure I've done it correctly as I cropped the map image off the cylindrical projection graph and then upscaled it to the same size as the winjupos Mars image file. The features appear stretched and the polar cap looks rather small. This may be a image measurement issue. Anyhow its just an experiment at the moment and i need to process all the images the same way as these were just plucked out at random. Not sure how to clean up the image seams?

Thats a pretty coool experiment Stuart, and I imagine it be pretty wild if you get it up to your expectations, all the best in future with them

Ok, I'd had Winjupos set on "simple cyndrical projection" instead of "cyndrical projection" which made the detail stretch. Looks better now but still need to sort out the seams :
