Its been long time since I caught some rays with the scope... weather and various types of business....

It was quite a satisfying session, I think I've got on top of the computer instability problems that I've suffered for a while now.:) I'm only capturing at 7.5 frames per second, but that's much better than crashing... my theory is that my lappy couldn't write to the HDD quick enough (reliably), got confused and spat the dummy.

Seeing was unusual this morning - reasonable breaks of relatively stable focus, but big, long period waves of distortion.

These are all processed with registax 6 and PS CS5. I've done my usual colouration method as well as a B&W tinted version for most of the shots.

Thanks Derek and Ralph. The full disc shots are pretty well inside the limits of seeing and my gear and abilities.:) Not necessarily so, the higher resolution stuff.

Thanks Guys. Yeah, I heard they reckon there'll be a second peak, not that this maximum has been particularly active...

Nice going Al. I saw your image yesterday and it prompted me to get out and do some solar imaging. Luckily the seeing was pretty nice for me. Processing at present and will get something up on my site later. These are pretty nice, especially the solar disk shot.
