On the off chance of picking this comet up, I did a single 5 minute luminance shot of the field surrounding the location of this comet.

It is being touted as the comet of the century and will be visible at the end of this year and early 2014.

Thanks to Rob K for confirming the location on this image as it is very faint, the comet has a very faint short tail. It is marked at the centre of the attached image.

Single 5 minute exposure @ -15c with an ST-2000XM using a Takahashi FSQ-85 @ f/3.86.

Cheers

Thanks Guys :)

Didn't think that I had a chance of picking up such a faint little object, it was more of a test of the telescope, hopefully it will live up to the hype and turn into a "Great Comet"

Cheers
