Here are two images taken from Mount Ainslie in Canberra tonight (4/3/2013).
The comet was clearly visible with the naked eye.
1. Picture: Canon 550D, EF-S 15-85mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS USM @ 50mm f/4.5, ISO1600, 1.5s, 20:32 AEDT
2. Picture: Canon 550D, Tamron SP70-300 F/4-5.6 Di VC USD @ 70mm f/4.0, ISO1600, 3.0s, 20:43 AEDT

Great shots there Carsten - much better weather than here in Newcastle. i am hoping a gentle prod to a certain world reknown kilt wearing imager will bear fruit like this, capitalising on his location on the outskirts of Camberra ;):camera:

Nice shots Carsten, I was thinking about heading up to Mt Ainslie myself last night...
Might try and get up there tonight or tomorrow night as I have Mt Tuggeranong in the way at home.
