The clouds did relent this evening for a view of Pan-STARRS from Brisbane. It was low in the SW sky but I could not see it with the naked eye. Binoculars showed it as a delicate, small fan of light with a tiny stellar nucleus - photos don't convey the sight. Unfortunately Brisbane's latitude means we can't see it in a darker sky.

This is about 30 15sec exposures taken at 200mm with a Canon EOS 600D, 100% crop. The comet's movement is evident, moving up and to the right.

Nice capture Tom - like it a lot, particularly at your latitude and the cloud cover you guys have had up north.

Cheers Steve

Lucky you Tom! I've tried the last two nights and the WSW horizon has been totally clouded out both times :(. I'm hoping for 3rd time lucky tonight!

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks guys. I really hope the cloud gives everyone at least a chance at this. I've attached a video to the original post.
