Hi All,
Part of the testing of the new equipment. Time to try out the narrowband filters.
Here's NGC 2070 in SII, Ha, OIII.

Beautiful shot Stuart , has a nice painted quality to it.

Absolutly stunning shot. ASA 12 is a good scope but tricky to collimate. Recently sold mine to pay for new toys.

Amazing Stuart, you tamed the dynamic range well. What was the exposure details?

Very nice image, Stuart. There appears to be a thin stripe down the left hand side that's not quite right (missing a colour?) It's most visible in the larger version.

Outstanding, Stuart!
Agree with Zane.
Also, 2 Internets to you for a textbook example of excellent composition.

Thanks for all the kind comments, such praise from imagers here is welcome, as are suggestions for improvement.
Yep, noticed it once I had posted it, should really crop it off, obviously didn't set up the scope the same way from night to night.
Ha 4 hours, SII/OIII 2 hours each. I also took some RGB for the stars and have replace the colour of the bright stars with the RGB data. I blended a low stretch and high stretch version of the luminance data so as to not blow out the core of the nebula too much, could perhaps tweak it a bit more, but I'll leave that for a rainy day.
That's the advantage of a wider field scope, you can actually compose the shot as you would like, rather than just take what you can get. The STT8300 guiding in front of the filters also helps.
Cheers
