Sw ED100 and a self modded Canon 30d with a CLS filter, shot over a couple of nights in February from the Great Southern Shob in the burbs
Around 4 hours of data with 600. 150 and 30 sec subs at ISO 400. It was a real pleasure to go back to this object, the scene of much frustration when first starting out. Tad disappointed with framing but maybe I will revisit next year.
cheers, and where the dickens are those clear skies!

Great shot. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Just your color balance is a little off IMHO.
Cheers Marc. Will take a look at that. I balanced the colours carefully but based on whatever the camera spat out, so I think I need to look at the white balance post processing
Nice repro by the way.

I really like that David.
Greg.
Thanks Greg, appreciated. I was very pleased with the changes I made to both capture and processing.
Thanks..Its a pretty slow scope,even with the standard reducer/Flattner (down to F7.8 I think) which is not ideal so it all takes time though I like the results, but it also helps to remember to apply some sharpening on the image. Apparently , according to Jerry Lodriguss, canon designed to blur images a little so you cant but help having to sharpen at some point.
Thanks as always Larry.
