I've put together an HaRGB version of my recent NGC 3324 image.
This was quite hard to process because the wind had effected the RGB data the most, elongating, blurring and generally making the star images odd shapes and hard to match with the nicer Ha data (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/148923919/original)
But in the end a more or less true colour image was had :)

Yep, nice one Mike!
The only thing that bothers me a bit though are the dark halos around the stars in the neb. Maybe it's just me but my eyes are drawn to them :ashamed::shrug:

Yep, I'm with ya, as I explained in the post, I had some difficulties with the RGB data and it made it very difficult to match it with the Ha and the dreaded silver/dark halos are evident in some places, as you say in some areas of neb.
In the end..?..bah, I am now sick of this data so just left it as is...to draw you in :evil2:

Ok, three girlies, I seeing dark halos around there eyes, mmmm, took a while to notice them actually ;)
Mike, Thats a great field, speshly like the cluster in there & the Neb is quite striking. That Gas Cloud is interesting, just reading about the area, and to locate it in actuality ?
So I have attached a wide Eta image with, what I think is the Gabriela Misteral area, pretty certain with the cluster just off it ?
Cheers !

Nice one Mike, those colours are electric! I can see what you mean by the halos, but otherwise a fine image for sure, of a beautiful target.

Yep Bob, that's Gabriela...with a face (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/148914445/original) only a mother could love :P..great hair though..
Glad you enjoyed her make-up
Cheers Rolf, no, not a perfect blend but she-be
Thanks Ross, you always say nice things...even when there are lovely thin dark proto solar system dust rings around some of the stars :P

The new version is just stunning, great work Mike. BTW, nice that you included Herschel's Gem Cluster in the composition, there are not too many images around of that one and it's a spectacular cluster indeed. :D

Oh yes ... muuuuch better Mike :thumbsup: Beautiful image! Viva Las Vegas!!
I'm getting therapy by the way - those pesky protoplanetary disks (miraculously all facing us ... like eyes watching us ... watching me! :help: :screwy:) were disconcerting.

Cheers men, appreciate the feedback, I go at some images like a dog at a bone huh? Funny, for a somewhat accomplished  imager... it still takes a few goes on some data before I get it right :P
I have never been one for pretending, I'm fallible just like the rest of us and I am ok with wearing my processing heart on my sleeve with my astroimaging friends  ...it's a never ending learning process...see my proverb below

Hello Mike
Always this excellents images, bravo!!
See you soon.;)
@lex
Mike your images are great as always. What would happen if you reduced your color saturation and contrast a bit?
