Dew or not to dew?

Hi all,

Moving to the Sydney area from the UK soon and was planning on bringing my C8 and wondered whether it's a worthy scope with the Australian climate? I've read that it's drier there which makes me optimistic that the weather isn't going to cause me problems, but Sydney is on the ocean right?

In the UK it needs to be loaded up with a dew shield and heater tape :lol:

You'll need your dew shield and heater here too, Dunk. Sydney area can be very damp!

Doesn't matter where you are in Australia you need them, I would think. You certainly need them here in the west, but we do get times in summer where the air coming off the desert is quite dry and you don't. Just depends on the night.
