This looks really interesting for those that love planetary exploration.
UNSW @ 6pm, Thursday 21st Feb.
As mentioned on the flyer Mike kindly posted, one needs to register for free tickets for this event as seats are limited.
To reserve your free tickets for the event one can register here -
See http://www.acser.unsw.edu.au/curiosity
Also note that due to popularity, the venue has moved to Sir John Clancy Auditorium.
The closest gate is Gate 9 on High Street (near the corner of Botany street and High
Street.)
The organizers advise that "buses to and from the city and Bondi Junction regularly
stop just outside gate 9. If you are driving, you can either park in the Botany Street
parking station (paid parking until 7:30pm), accessed via gate 11 or there is time
restricted street parking just off campus."
Again note, you need to register beforehand for a free ticket which you will present at the door.
It promises to be an interesting talk and the bio on René Fradet says that he was
also the founder and CEO of Alliance Spacesystems and that they built the
robotic arms for most of the Mars rovers, including Curiosity.
