Finally some reasonable clear weather for me to test out my new baby, sorry nothing specials, I took the most common & brightest nebulas. Only managed a few shots, as usual, as soon as I start imaging, the clouds started rolling in.
The FSQ106 is a pleasure to use, easy to frame image, can find guiding star easily with the OAG, stars are sharp & round right to the edges, as you can see from the images, very happy so far, and cant wait to take it to a dark site.
Scope: FSQ106-EDX3
Mount: HEQ5
Guiding: Orion SSAG
Camera: QSI583wsg
Location: Sydney suburb, nearly half moon with clouds rolling in & out
Eta Carina: Ha 2x10mins, with 2 darks & bias
M42: just one single Ha 5 mins shot, no darks/bias
Both images are uncrop and the compressed jpeg doesnt do justice :)
Victor.
