Danngg ! ! Nothing wrong with this in my opinion Ian, Dam jealous of it actually, very clean work ! ! I dig the Full field too, some horsey clos-up just dont look ballanced, compositon wise !

Great Job

If this is from a suburban sky I am in awe, very nice. Not to mention I am waiting at this moment for delivery of my own new ED80t CF. If I cannot get a result very similar from suburban Adelaide, we will be speaking again!

Cheers Kym.

Superb result but you could brighten it up a great deal using shadow and highlight in PS and bring out the wonderful dark material. Great result for CBD.

Nice! The only comment I would make is that the darker areas could be a touch darker... but it looks great! Classic Horsehead. :)

That looks amazing for 2 minute subs, although that adds up to 3 hrs.
Did you use a LP filter?
Wasn't the moon over 90%? How did you manage that?
Well done

Thanks John,
I think by brightening it up I’ll display some noise (it’s like greenish background ) that I managed to heavily reduced by the magic of the PixInsight dynamic background extraction and ACDNR.
After PixInsight there is really not much one can do in PS.

Thanks Alistar,
I didn’t use the Astronomic CLC LP filter because it changes the colour balance – everything is so “blueish”. Maybe I still don’t know which option to select in the camera colour balance …
So, no filter, no Moon, and I waited till all neighbours switched off their lights …

Thanks Paul,
It's within the CBD, but is very, very close - Churchlands ..
I take all shots facing North-West or West ..

Thanks,
I have the Astronomic CLC LP filter, but I don't use it for the reason I mentioned in the other post.
PixInsight seems to do the job very well instead ...
