So I always thought that M108, a galaxy that is tilted at about 75 degress to us, was not very interesting. I thought that until I started digging out the details and saw it has some nice outflows and other structures.
Don't forget to use the full screen button and click to zoom and pan around the details and background galaxies.
Thanks for taking the time to look . . .

Thanks for sharing Ken. I think that I'm way too far south to see that one. You have captured some interesting detail, and as you say, lots going on in the background!

Ken's trade mark words - digging out the details :)
Ken, if it were not for your tutorials, I'd be stuck processing altogether. I cannot thank you enough! THANK YOU!
Now I just need that CCD instead of the DSLR.... ;)

That's a great image Ken! I note that the Ha regions stand out well although you didn't take any Ha filtered data. Did that just "fall out" with the overall red data or did you need to target them specifically in your processing?

Well, not binning my color channels help and the "digging" process helps with color separation. I did not selectively target the HII regions as I did not need to as they were pretty tight.

Another beautiful galaxy portrait.
This one's got an interesting shape, to boot.
Awesome, Ken. :)
