Well I set a few traps from about 1:30am local time but
came up with nothing.
Then panic set in and I decided to try and eyeball with the 8" F7 homemade
newt on dob base while the dome carried on imaging field traps.

Nothing.
Cloud hampered 2 more traps set ahead of the path.

It looks like at least these few nabbed it maybe: This set 02:23-02:30am local

Zeta Octans identified by plate solve. Single 60 sec exposures, motion from L to R. Thses frames 02:25 and 02:37am local.

Around 04:45 local my final trap was set near Mu Vel.
This is one frame of 65 of that set. Lots of polar sats in this set. 30 sec exposure.
The image info says 05:10 am locat (UT +10:30) but my dome PC
clock could be out by as much as 5 mins...slack I know.

Can't be sure this is it, I suspected it should be much brighter than this, MPC ephem says mag 7.92
MPC for 5:10am local : 11h:05 19 -37 48 22 !

Plate solve with Mu Velorum correctly identified.

Good work Steve, I didnt even bother due to cloud and it faintness; A very credable capture without doubt, Top Show ! !
