Carl just wondering if the corrector plate and or mirror have any scratches or damage? audiostar works without any problems and go to motors all functioning as they should ?does the telescope have any issues at all!
thank you for you're time

Hi Stan
The corrector plate has some minor dust. There are two dust bunnies on the inside of the corrector plate, these have not affected my observations.
The corrector plate can be taken out and cleaned with a solution from Bintel I have not taken the plate apart.
The plate does not have any scratches on the outer surface.
Both motors are functioning well. Mead does tend to have noisy motors when slewing in high speed.
The hand piece was replaced last year with an audio star unit and has had the firmware updated via Meade website.
The telescope is in good condition as this was my original "starter" telescope.
I can enclose some close up shots of the corrector plate if you require them.

Cheers

Carl
