Went out on some very long drives on remote and rough properties and forestry leases today.Travelled over 100km's,did not see much or catch any dingos-except a two legged one poaching, had guilt written all over his face!
I was a bit disappointed, but in the last hour we traveled over about a creek area that had quite a considerable amount of water pour through it-see image 3 and 4.Crossing the creek a large Eastern Water Dragon climb about the washed up logs-and stayed still long enough for some images. He was very close to vehicle in first image-no cropping.
I used a 400 mm prime lens,and settings of F7.1 and 320 sec and 500iso for the first image,and the 70-200 F 2.8 L lens for the second at F2.8
Nice to see a large specimen approx 70 cm long, going about its life in the wild.
Hope this is of interest-thanks for looking
