well i was at home today suffering from some exotic disease ;) and managed to get a break in the clouds in Newcloudville. the first shot showed i was having some signal problems with the ZWO camera and prostar 0.5 reducer, for some reason when stacked in autostakkert it turned to crud on the edges. i may redo this one later - after all its going to rain again....pleanty of time

then i had an epiphany why not put on the vixen 2.4 time barlow i bought to use with the ZWO camera. well i did that and the results speak for themselves. i gave it a go - more room for improvement - i am not sure but i think it is sunspot 1671

lunt 60 double stacked from the doghouse observatory

i am persevering with the ZWO for the moment but up against the DMK41 both have pluses and minuses

so as i said stacked in autostakkert, then registax6 then photoshop then here ;)

3D Sun only lists two sunspots on nearside at the moment - 1670 and 1671. 1671 is the one nearer to the center and that looks like yours.

I can see I'm going to have to get a solar scope. Given the weather, this looks more productive.

By the way, isn't the most important thing about VD the VD Massacre? Everything else is just profiteering.

Really well I think we need some clear skies to bag a comet or three, then a huge bolide, then a sn , then some huge solar prom. That would indeed be a good day:lol::D
