Hi All,

I work in the aviation industry and on the fridge in our tea room is an aviation calendar with a photo I am sure I recognise from this site, it is someones avitar but I cant think who's it is. It is February's photo and is of a Beechcraft King Air passing the moon, not in front but to the side of the moon. Any idea who owns this photo? Was it published with permission? First name is Chris.

Cheers, Dennis.

You could try Hotspur,

See here: link (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/member.php?u=6805)

Chris Thomas is his name, has done a few, but has quite a famous moon & Qantas plane pic.

I think this is the post you are looking for. The Beechcraft and moon one.

Might have to PM to see if he gave permission for that one, but I recall he mentioned that RFDS or someone asked him to reproduce, but I may be wrong.....?

Check with him is probably the best bet.

Cheers

Chris

Yes,its all good, the company that services this aircraft contacted me last year, and asked permission to use it,and how much it would cost them to use it in their calandar-so all is good-Glad someone here has seen it,and identified it as having been displayed on the forum.:)

The firm sent me a calander-but I put it in a box-its useless-no moon phases! Thanks Dave 'Nanskies' for sending up a IIS calander-wow!-never had one of them before-but I sure know I'll be getting one next year-every day has moon phase-so important for astronomy/fishing/trapping.

Hi Chris,

Yes it is yours, it's in the Pacific Turbine calendar and you are correct, no moon phases. Well you can rest easy knowing that it is hanging (at least for February) in the tea room at my office (Caloundra airport). They even gave you a mention on the back of the calendar.

Cheers, Dennis.
