Hi all,

Another image from my early wake up on Monday morning. Conditions were less than ideal. Strong wind and humidity rendered stars close to the horizon virtually invisible.

I really love the colour on this one. Any way to view it at a higher resolution?

Thank you very much Rod and Peter :D No, sorry Peter. I only upload low res files to the web to protect my work.

Great shot and I love the colour

I think if I were processing it I'd not have let myself go so far with the saturation (eg looking at how aqua-blue the SMC is) but it does look good at this displayed size and saturation is often what my shots lack I think. Does it still look good at closer to 100%? (I usually find if I make an astrophoto too saturated it looks more noisy and lower quality when at 100% or close).

Thank you very much for the nice feedback Roger :D I have to keep slapping my wrist sometimes and remind myself to dial back the saturation. I have certainly been guilty in the past of WAY TOO MUCH. I tend to go a bit bluer in my images than other night scape photographers. It is just what I find appealing. My images are certainly not scientifically accurate in terms of colour range.
I find that the method I use to add a bit of saturation does not adversely effect the quality too much. I'll send you a message.
Cheers
