Hi guys I just came back from doing a weekend job at Mt Bulla here in Victoria. I took my 10 inch truss scope and tried it out for the first time. The viewing from up there was fantastic. Nebulas galore lots of globular clusters too. Tuc 47 looked awsome. We saw one particular nebula near the small mageallanic cloud I think and it was terrific. jupiter looked great too. The nights were very still and not a cloud or light in sight. We drove up to near the top and ther were so many stars that it was very hard to pick any of the constellations. I have been to one deep sky sight that belongs to the ASV but at the top of Mt bulla the seeing was much better. It wasn't that cold either.

Observing from a mountain top is definately on my to-do list, but it might have to wait for warmer weather i think
